Media standard

The goal of a DAM solution should be to provide the most standardized original files. These should be of high quality and also easily exchangeable, i.e. universally compatible. A meaningful indexing and clearly defined usage rights should also be available.

Long experience

Thanks to our thirty-year experience in the pre-press domain and our deep insights in the marketing, sales and communication processes of international companies, we are familiar with the established standards and current challenges in this area. We have addressed these with a Media standard.

Vendor guidelines

A Media standard is defined similar to a CD manual, but not the communication goals and rules for the CI implementation, but rather the condition of the files used for this purpose. A typical Media standard includes the technical, editorial and legal aspects of master data:

  • Technical: How is the original provided? Which file formats, color spaces, color profile, clipping paths etc.?
  • Editorial? How is the indexing carried out? Which guidelines are adopted? (Are we talking of a motor car, a wagon or a passenger car?)
  • Legal: How are the usage rights defined? Copyrights? Bylines?

We support our customers in the preparation of a Media standard as well as in the application and quality control.
